Rolling Stones Update

OK, A Rolling Stones Update, firstly in the shape of 1972's classic "Exile on Main Street". "Exile on Main Street" was recorded in the basement of Keith Richard's Cote d'Azur villa, Nellcote. The sessions in the sun were chaotic, drug fueled and produced probably The Rolling Stones last great album.

Next up we have a piece on another great Rolling Stones album in the shape of 1969's "Let It Bleed". Opening with "Gimme Shelter", one of the greatest rock n' roll songs of all time, it marks the first album without any real contribution from Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones.

Brian Jones playing barely made the album and he split from the band during the course of the recording of "Let It Bleed". Sadly before "Let It Bleed" was released Brian Jones was found dead in his swimming pool. The coroner recorded a verdict of death by misadventure, but this piece asks was Brian Jones murdered in his swimming pool?

On the controversy front we also have a piece on the Police drugs raid on Keith Richards Redlands home in 1967. Many felt at the time that the punishment was far too harsh for the amounts of drugs found and many members of the establishment came out in support of Mick Jagger and Keith Richard's sentences for what many felt was a set-up.

Early Kinks update

We've added the stories behind the first few of The Kinks albums including 1964's "You Really Got Me", which features one of the most influential songs in music history in the shape of "You Really Got Me"

We have also added their two releases of 1965 in the shape of Kinda Kinks" and "The Kink Kontroversy" which covers the period when the American Federation of Musicians banned The Kinks from touring the U.S between 1965 to 1969.

Also added are the next two releases from The Kinks, the first two of their "golden period". The first is 1966's "Face to Face" and the second, 1967's "Something Else" both of which are classic albums, rivaling anything released by their contemporaries such as The Rolling Stones and The Beatles and should definitely be part of anyone's music collection.
